GridGrabber is a Chrome extension that exports HTML tables from webpages to CSV files. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it plain and specific. If anything is unclear, email us at gridgrabber@gmail.com.
What we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to sell, deliver, and license the extension.
- Your email address. When you purchase a subscription, Stripe collects your email as part of checkout and shares it with us so we can email you your license key and any billing notifications.
- Your license key. We generate a unique license key for your account and store it alongside your email. The extension stores the same key locally in your browser so you do not have to re-enter it every time.
- A device identifier. The first time you verify your license, the extension generates a random identifier in your browser and sends it with each license check. We use this to count how many devices are active on your subscription, up to a limit we publish on our website. The identifier is opaque — it is not linked to anything else about your computer.
- Your IP address. Like any web service, our servers receive your IP address with each request. We use it only to apply rate limits (to prevent abuse) and do not store it long-term or associate it with your account.
What we do not collect
- The content of the tables you export. Table extraction runs entirely in your browser. The resulting CSV file is saved directly to your computer. We never see, store, or transmit the data you export. Our servers do not receive the tables, the webpages you visit, or anything about the pages themselves.
- Your browsing history. The extension only runs when you click its toolbar icon and only interacts with the tab you are actively viewing.
- Payment details. Stripe handles all card and bank information. We never see or store payment data.
- Analytics or behavioral tracking. We do not collect clicks, mouse movements, page views, scroll depth, or other usage telemetry.
How we use what we collect
We use your email, license key, and device identifier for three things only:
- To deliver your license key to you and to notify you about your subscription (renewal, failed payments, changes you request).
- To verify, when the extension checks in, that your subscription is active.
- To enforce the device limit on your subscription.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run the product. They receive only the information they need to do their job.
- Stripe (stripe.com) handles checkout, subscriptions, billing, and the customer portal. Stripe receives your email and payment information. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Resend (resend.com) sends transactional emails — specifically, your license key and billing notifications. Resend receives your email and the contents of those emails. Their privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) hosts our website and licensing servers. Cloudflare may receive your IP address as part of routing requests. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not sell your information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and license key for as long as you have an active subscription, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Device identifiers are removed automatically after the device has not been used for five days. If you cancel and want your data fully deleted, email gridgrabber@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Security
All traffic between the extension and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Your license key and device identifier are stored in the encrypted key-value store provided by Cloudflare Workers. Your email and payment information on Stripe are protected by Stripe's security infrastructure.
No system is perfect. If we ever have reason to believe your information has been compromised, we will contact you by email.
Your rights
You can:
- Cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal linked from the extension, or at billing.gridgrabber.com.
- Ask us to delete your data by emailing gridgrabber@gmail.com. We will confirm deletion within a reasonable time.
- Ask us what we hold about you, by the same email address.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively — including the right to request a copy of your data, to correct it, and to object to processing. Email us and we will handle the request.
Children
GridGrabber is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created a subscription, email us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects what we do with your information, we will update the "Last updated" date and, if the change is significant, notify you by email.
